I loved managing the Partner Oversight group, but it became apparent that my opportunities for continued upward mobility were severely limited.  That realization, combined with restructuring and shuffling of priorities affecting my team, and the completion of my degree caused me to reflect on the trajectory of my career and what I really wanted to be involved in.  I was made aware of an opportunity in the Product team which would focus on developing software enhancements specifically for the operational teams that I was coming from.  Given my interest in software development and history / exposure to those operations, I jumped at the opportunity to expand my skills by helping to manage the roadmap and delivery of enhancements for our operational risk management groups.

This new role in Product also included the mandate to enhance the proprietary automated credit / risk monitoring tool that I had been involved in requesting, and to enhance internal tooling to prepare for scaling these risk operations teams internationally.  Both projects have been informative and rewarding as I have had an opportunity to address gaps that I identified operationally but was unable to close due to technology enhancements that were required.
